Teacher’s Testimonials
Yoshua is a genius in the making. As one of my five top students for Integrated Science he has maintained a 95% average in all his tests, setting records at StepUp Academie as one of the Most Intellectual Students. His art forms and science projects have shown his ability to research, develop and innovate at the highest level. A testimony to the school’s motto perfectly adopted.

Integrated Science Tutor
Yoshua has been a student of STEP UP Academie since the age of two years. Since then, he has been actively engaged in his education and learns concepts quickly. At 6 years old, Yoshua already comprehends and reads fluently at a Grade 2 level. He also expresses himself well in writing and is a straight-A student. His proficiency in Mathematics and his aptitude in remembering large volumes of information is even more remarkable for his age.

Asaiah Gives Back
In his Financial Literacy course, Asaiah learned about the 3 jars-Saving, Spending, and the one most important to him-Sharing. For his 6th birthday, he started his own tradition, where instead of him receiving, he wanted to give back to help others. Asaiah has been hosting an individual fundraiser for the charitable organization called “First Book” – there is a branch in Canada with headquarters in the United States.
First Book’s mission is to ensure that children, of all ages, in underserved communities across North America have access to reading and success through the elimination of barriers to learning-this starts by providing equal access to resources.

Buy 1 Book, Give 1 Back
The reason why he chose this charity, and its cause is no coincidence-it’s all in the name. Reading, for Asaiah came with its struggles; he used to shy away and would not even try. However, after years of occupational and speech therapy in addition to virtual homeschooling and remedial tutorials through StepUp Academie for the challenges that he had, Asaiah eventually developed a personal love for reading. This cause means even more to him now as a young aspiring writer. One of his goals is for the project that he has been working on over the past year to be the very “first book” to ignite the imagination and inspire that same passion in children across North America and beyond.
To date, he has personally raised enough funds to supply classrooms with 250 books and technological resources. Join Asaiah by helping to give the gift of reading, by making a charitable donation to First Book today.
